Prior to 2021 Just Sports gift cards were redeemable in-store only. At the end of 2020 gift cards were integrated with our online store so they were redeemable for online purchases as well.

In an effort to continue with our established gift card numbering system AND protect your gift card balances from unauthorized use, we implemented some customizations to support PIN validation. We added PINs to previously issued gift cards retroactively, and printed all new gift cards with a PIN.

Recently our online platform (Shopify) announced some changes to their checkout page that limit our ability to smoothly and reliably enforce PIN validation. As a result, we had to make some decisions about how to move forward, but protecting your gift card balances, and providing the best customer service we can, remained our top priority.

So here is what is happening...

1. Beginning 08/13/24 we are selling new gift cards that are already compatible with the online store
2. All gift cards issued prior to 08/13/24 have been deactivated in the online store only. Previously issued gift cards will continue to work in-store without issue or interruption
3. If you have one of these previously issued cards, and you want to redeem it online, email us at giftcards@sportsventure.net. Include a picture of the back of the card that shows the gift card #, and we will issue you a replacement gift card that will work online. NOTE: INCLUDING THE PICTURE OF THE GIFT CARD IS REQUIRED AND IMPORTANT IN HELPING PROTECT GIFT CARD BALANCES BY SHOWING THE GIFT CARD IS IN YOUR POSSESSION
4. If you want to use this gift card exclusively online, that’s all you will need. If you want the option of using a portion of your new replacement gift card in-store, just provide us your mailing information and we will send the card to you

We hope to make this transition as smooth as possible, but we know there is some inconvenience associated with this, so we do appreciate your patience and understanding as we move forward.

Gift cards that have had the balance fully used will return this message.

Also, we recently made some changes to how gift cards work online which required us to deactivate all gift cards issued before 08/13/2024, which would cause your gift card to show a $0 balance online, even though it is still redeemable in-store. Gift Cards can be purchased in the following denominations: $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $250, $500
